Hey Today! – 83

’83′ is Hey Today’s third single on Kitsune and it’s brilliant, with a bass line that jams itself in your head and stays there. The single comes with remixes from Toomy Disco and a lovely acid laced rework from Zongamin. There’s also another original track ‘Guru Guro’ that cleverly  samples an elephant falling over and features the sharpest bell effect you’ll hear this side of the Alps. ’83  is released on April 23rd. Have a listen to the minimix below.

You can also grab a Hey Today! DJ mix from last month here,  featuring his ace remix of Blackstrobes ‘Italian Fireflies’, that I should have posted ages ago, but forgot…

P-Money & Dan Aux – Kinda Lovin

Sometimes all you need is a good disco loop to get the place jumping. P-Money and Dan Aux are all about the loops, coming together with one intention, to find the ‘greatest disco house loops and arrange them into present day dancefloor destroyers! ‘. Though this production has been around for a while, this is their first official release, out on Kitsune March 28th, with remixes from DCUP and more. Think pool side terrace, cold beer and probably wiggling bikini clad hips.

Citizens! – True Romance

Citizens! are five ‘ handsome London boys’, who have just signed to Kitsune. I can’t find out a lot more about them, theirs being the sort of name that will throw up a whole load of crap if you type it into Google.

Their debut single ‘True Romance’ is out on December 19th on Kitsune -

You can download another of the bands track for the price of an email address here. There’s an album due for release 2012 and they’ve just now finished a tour supporting The Rapture. Further live dates below -

BeatauCue are heading out on their first North American tour, taking in 12 shows, 11 cities and 3 countries, all in 2 weeks. Included in the run is the HARD Haunted Mansion on Friday October 28th, which boasts one the best line ups I’ve seen in a while (I’m trying to get Dave to have his stag do there, but I fear it’s a little late). Watch the HARD trailer and correct me if I’m wrong -

As for the BeatauCue boys themselves, check out this vid of them playing Inox Park to see what they’ve got to offer.

{Music Video} Juveniles – We Are Young Live

Juveniles have been described as if ‘Metronomy had swallowed New Order’, but with their first single ‘We Are Young’, especially in this live version, they remind us of OMD.

They’ve only been around for six months and here they are with a release on Kitsune, due out on October 24th. The single will also feature on Kitsune 12, which will grace our ears November 14th. You can listen to and download the release mini mix below, featuring remixes from The Popopopops, Sferro and Yan Wagner.

Is Tropical – Lies

Is Tropical are back with their third single off debut album ‘Native To’. Available to buy through Kitsune/Co Op on 31st October ‘Lies’  is a straight out indy disco stomper, with the band even sneaking in a cheeky slowed down slice of Alice Deejay ‘Better Off Alone’ (which drove me to near insanity, trying to remember  what the fuck it was. Thanks to Breezy, for answering the phone and putting me out of my misery).

The Magician – I Don’t Know What To Do

Love a bit of piano house, so when the debut single from Stephen Fasano, aka The Magician, aka ex-member of Aeroplane hit the mat, I just had to post. Featuring Denmark’s Jeppe on vocals ‘I Don’t Know What To Do’ has more piano in it than Mozart’s music room and boasts ace remixes from Fabian, Plastic Plates and Second Date. It’s released on October 3rd, through Kitsune.
