Everything Everything, the Manchester four piece, have released their first track since Mercury nominated debut, Man Alive. Cough Cough is another pigeon hole dodging piece of idiosyncratic DRUMS and HARMONIES, from a band who confidently refuse to abide by any rules of song structure or form. Check it out below and there’s a video to go with it, from lead singer Jonathan Higgs.

Tommie Sunshine has been working with Disco Fries a lot lately and I’ve sort of missed his own edits and remixes. Glad to say he’s back now with this bouncing party time rework of Matchbox Twenty’s ‘She’s So Mean’. Great stuff.

Recently Tommie played the rooftop of the Kimberley Hotel in NYC. You can grab a download of his set below. Some proper tunes in here.

There’s a new Shinichi Osawa single out on the 31st August through GND Records. ‘Singapore Madness’ sees Osawa team up with Paul Chambers on a techno behemoth that just cleared the fluid ear I’ve been suffering with for a month. Thanks guys! You can check out the track on Soundcloud HERE and download a new mix below.

I haven’t posted a lot of bangers on here recently, mainly because I’ve just not found anything banger-ish that has floated my boat enough to post. This new one from Modek, on Lektroluv Records though is brilliant, so I was compelled. Lead tune, Donny, is the one to watch here, with its rolling, driving acid bass line. It’s out on September 10th.

Cut Ribbons are a ‘dashingly good looking’ five piece from Llanelli, Wales. The music they offer up is startling optimistic and upbeat and with new single ‘Damascus’ they remind me a lot of The Delays at their best. They’re playing the BBC Introducing stage at Reading and Leeds this weekend, so if you’re there then you should probably drop by and give them a listen. If not, you can catch them at the Shacklewell Arms, London, as support to Faye. Listen to more Cut Ribbons on their Soundcloud HERE.
‘Damascus’ is out on September 24th on Barely Regal
