PYYRAMIDS are Drea Smith, of He Say/She Say and Tim Nordwind from OK Go. The music they make is strangely schizophrenic, on one side all moody and dangerous, the other infectiously catchy, poppy as hell. Smith has a sultry, languid vocal style that suggests that the tales of failed, unreachable, love are beyond her control. Life just works this way, you know?
