Cut Copy’s 2008 album ‘In Ghost Colours’ still rates highly on the Music To Make Me Feel Better list. They were part of a mini heat wave of Aussie talent, along with The Presets, Van She and Midnight Juggernauts, that soaked the UK shores with antipodean warmth between 2005 and 2008, lauding over us dour Brits with some straight up down under synth-ness.
They’ve got a new album ‘Free Your Mind’ out on Modular in November and with the second track taken from it, ‘We Are Explorers’, they’ve revived that ’08 feel and helped cleave the gathering winter gloom, for at least 4 minutes 18 seconds.
